Father Maciej Braun CR – though he has empty hands – helps. Although he sometimes is subdued or sad – always trying to give you a smile. His optimism is contagious, he is sensitive to the poor, in love with the poor and the sick, and worried about the smallest. After Mass he is giving candy to children. Always in a rush to visit those dying alone. Tirelessly sharing his faith with others. He builds churches in the far away places, sitting and eating together with the builders, tirelessly listening to all that seek his attention… – living out his priestly motto – “This is my heart, I sacrifice it for you today”.
He is a quiet, humble missionary, calling for help from believers: Help me give a helping hand! He dreams that his parishioners will feel important, needed and loved, to live and die with dignity, with Christ in their hearts.
His literary achievements include having written three books “Eye of a needle – how to sew a life”, “Hear” and “Wambura – born in the rain.”
Father Braun, CR, comes from Grodzisk , was born in Poznan (Poland). After graduation, he joined the Congregation of the Resurrection. Ordained in 2003, he served as a youth pastor in Bytom, and then in Vienna. During this time he released two musical albums (CDs) with those youth teams.
